Winter Wedding Inspiration with Pine Cones

Winter brides, listen up: this inspiration shoot is sure to give you plenty of ideas for your big day. Deisy Photography captured a scene full of winter greens, pine cones, and sequins assembled by Blair Sims Events, plus fresh bouquets accented with dusty miller arranged by Trochtas. Add in a couple of bridesmaids in green hues and a few wreaths for good measure, and you’re all set!

From the photographer, Deisy Photography: This winter themed shoot was thoughtfully created around the simple idea of using the pine cone. Frosted, painted or just natural, the pine cone is simple but wonderfully versatile. The location was optimal for providing colorful foliage and earthy woodlands. All things necessary for the crisp winter look we were going for. The very talented Deisy Photography picked up the cool tones and seasonal details perfectly.

The greens, grays and whites complemented each other in the stunning florals by Trochtas and the rustic but elegant tablescape from 110 Events made those colors fit right in! Gorgeous wreaths also hung on the rustic doors of The Stone Barn on Blueberry Hill wedding venue to complete the look of the styled shoot. The versatility of the pine cones was shown on the plates as place card holders, in the vases as decoration and in the florals as wonderful details. The frosted pine cone place card holder held artfully crafted calligraphy by Rachel Kathryn Designs. The vows taken from the movie The Vow were written beautifully on textured paper and the sweet quotes also graced the table to remind us of all of the love that surrounds us on special wedding days. The family style bench seating and sophisticated head chairs were the perfect match for creating an inviting and elegant atmosphere. For the cake, the gold leaves really added a wonderful sense of elegance and decadence! A monogrammed macaron is the best way to showcase the couple’s new last name!
