Vintage Glam Parisian Wedding
When this wedding from Paris wedding photographers Anthony and Audrey Brock landed in our inbox, we knew we had found the ultimate in luxe vintage glam. Lauren and Steven, an Australian couple, chose France for an intimate ceremony by the Seine and a reception in the Ritz Hotel of Paris. We love those individual champagne bottles for toasts! Don’t miss all photos of this vintage affair in the gallery.
From the bride, Lauren: The overall theme was “One Night In Paris” and we were going for effortless, vintage glamour. We essentially wanted to create an intimate ceremony for the nuptials followed by the ultimate dinner party event for ourselves and our guests. Plus it was also my 30th birthday on our wedding day so we really wanted to celebrate across the board. We chose Paris as the backdrop because not only is it the perfect city to tie the knot but we wanted to take our family and friends on an international adventure they would never forget.
The one thing you cant see in the photographs is that each venue was a surprise to our guests. They were given a telegram the night before the wedding with simple information like time and location to meet and the entire day was one big unfolding surprise for them which they loved.
The inspiration was “Paris Glamour” and we asked guests to dress accordingly. It was very classic black and white event with a splash of red discreetly thrown in here and there to add contrast. The dinner event was all about creating a golden glow with the backdrop of the sun setting over Paris and stunning ambience lighting once night hit using soft candlelight.
Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? Every wedding, big or small, is a huge project for every bride so don’t forget when you’re feeling overwhelmed, it’s a completely natural emotion. Even with me having a strong background in producing events and being used to taking intense amounts of pressure, I still felt a lot of stress in the lead-up because a wedding is so personal. My best advice is to breathe in and breathe out (then repeat over and over again, ha!) and tackle each task one step at a time. Also do not be afraid to ask your bridal party for help, advice and support. My ladies in waiting were an absolutely amazing support unit for me throughout the 12-month project. I could not have done it without them!

I love what you have achieved and to live your dream is very special. I am married to a French man and lived many years in Paris so know it well and I think you have captured a real essence of France. Well done…………. I am a Civil Marriage Celebrant and was wondering who was your celebrant? Did you bring them from Australia? I ask as I would love to do a wedding sur le Pont Neuf or under the Tour Eiffel 🙂
