Rutgers Log Cabin Wedding Inspiration
Relaxed and rustic, this Rutgers log cabin wedding photographed by Christina Lilly Photography with designs by Gilded Lily Events is just beautiful. Bright florals and shiny golds stand out against the rich cabin wood, making this one colorful and cozy Fall wedding.
From the wedding planner/designer, Paige at Gilded Lily Events: Our inspiration began by wanting a late Fall wedding and when we saw the log cabin at Rutgers Gardens it was the perfect venue. Our goal was to create a cozy, rustic, family-style feel. The wedding colors came from favorite kilim pillow of mine with shades of pink, burgundy and yellow. With all of the dark wood in the cabin, the yellow and hot pink were great accent colors and added the pop that we love.
To add to the cabin feeling, arrows were a design element used through the reception from the handmade escort cards, menus and table numbers designed by Art, Paper, Scissors Design. On the reception tables, we used a mix of natural, organic elements such as galvanized plates, bamboo utensils, and ceramic vases juxtaposed with glassware with gold rimmed edges and our favorite amber goblets. We always love to make the bride and groom chairs stand out! This bride and groom’s chairs were draped with wool shawls with button accents to create cozy extra special seating. We also added a little whimsy to the decor and the wooden mushrooms and fools gold provided a little something unexpected and something for the guests to talk about!
The flowers by Wallflowers were a knockout with pink peonies, yellow ranunculus, billy balls, pods, wax flowers and seeded eucalyptus just to name a few. We love how they make the simple ceremony structure even more perfect and are a great focal point on the reception tables.

Was this a real wedding or a styled shoot? It looks styled, but it’s labeled under real weddings?
I do love it though. The colors of the glass are so warm and lovely and it’s so sweet and intimate. It looks like it would be a charming elopement or honeymoon cabin! But the colors are lovely and the field shots of the couple are stunning! 🙂
Thank you, you’re right! We miscategorized it. All set now 🙂
Love the wedding pies! Perfect for this Log Cabin Wedding
