Pacific Northwest Beach Wedding

While we mostly get the chance to hear from brides about planning their wedding day, it’s a refreshing breath of air to hear from a groom — especially one who’s a graphic designer and designed the majority of the wedding himself. Carina Skrobecki Photo was there to capture all the details:

From the groom, Caleb: Our style was a mix between whimsical beach and pure white. It was incredibly important not to come off cheesy when doing a beach/water theme while still expressing our love for the beach. Alderbrook Resort and Spa was the perfect venue for our vision.

We wanted our wedding to be stunning, whimsical, and elegant. I (the groom) am a graphic designer from Kirkland, Washington and always wanted to bring my passion for art and design to the big day. From the invitations to ALL the decorations, all were done by us with the help of friends and family.

Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Make a check list of everything you would hope for for your wedding, make goals that you can continually check off as you get closer to your day. Enjoy every step of the process, know when to let some things go in order to keep happiness number one in your relationship. Your wedding in many ways is a reflection of you both, be sure to truly think about that as you begin this fun process.
