Musical Flowing Wedding Inspiration
The soft blues and greys in this styled shoot are absolutely inspiring us today, along with the endless supply of sweet details. The wedding cake, for example, is decorated with sheet music and sugar flowers for a look that’s almost too pretty to eat! So much love to the talented team of Ashley Slater, The Bloom Workshop, Michaela Noelle Designs, and Tinge Floral and more for this one.
From the art directors, The Bloom Workshop: Wedding day details truly set the tone for an entire event and this wedding inspiration shoot was no exception. Once our venue was selected, the historic Rainier Chapter House, the vintage and classic elements of this replica of George Washington’s Mount Vernon Home played a key role in the rest of the wedding day details. Such a notable venue called for equally romantic and timeless touches. It was important that each element looked as if it were pulled from the very era this home was built in. Once we found the privacy screen covered in vintage music sheets by Vintage Ambiance, we knew sheet music would be a key feature throughout.
A classic farmhouse table set the backdrop for vintage dishes, gorgeous florals by Tinge Floral and the most delicate dusty blue runner by Adorn Company. In keeping with the simplistic and elegant beauty of the time, we accented the table with greenery foraged in the Seattle area. Stunning Anthropologie mercury door knobs served as place cards penned with the most delicate calligraphy by Jenny Sanders. A traditional menu with a line drawing of the Chapter House by the Aerialist Press sat on top of plates for a personalized touch. Flowing gowns from BHLDN made the bride and her maids look soft and feminine. We carried the same blue hue found in the table runner to the gowns to bring a sense of cohesion. The crowning jewel of the shoot was the cake by The Sweet Side, which featured edible sugar paper music sheets. The ladies wore beautiful jewels by BHLDN and rings by Trumpet and Horn to complete our vintage theme. We love how the palette of soft blue, silver, white and touches of pink is not so overly feminine or trendy. This truly is a timeless, effortless wedding!
