Swiss Chalet Wedding Inspiration
Although today’s shoot doesn’t take place in a real-life Swiss chalet, you’d almost never know it by looking at these images. The talented team of Samantha Jay Photography, Bottle Pop Party Co., and Fresh Designs Florist created this styled wedding ripe with ideas inspired by the Alps and bier gardens, with a modern take on some rustic decor. Love!
From the photographer, Samantha Jay Photography: While the historic hills of the Brandywine Valley in Pennsylvania are a far cry from the snow-capped Alps in Germany and Switzerland, the roots of our inhabitants can be found there. Here you’ll also find a converted barn wedding venue whose walnut beams and white washed walls invoke the same feelings of a warm and cozy mountain chalet. The Gables at Chadds Ford was the inspiration for our alpine affair so we filled it with the work of some of our area’s most talented wedding professionals.
Alphorn players filled the air with the melody of their horns while guests would sit upon wooden benches for the ceremony. The ring bearer, in his vintage lederhosen, carried the rose gold rings set upon antique velvet ribbon and stole the show while doing it. The bride, in a long sleeved sheer dress, carried a cascading bouquet of greenery and cozied up with her groom, who was dressed in layers of wool. Hand lettered handmade stationary would guide their guests inside, where tables were set with simple place settings and linen menus. Desserts were varied and sat atop vintage silver platters. A bier garden and s’mores area rounded out our cozy, wintery shoot in the most delicious way.
