Heirloom and Lace Wedding

Haley and Jon wouldn’t let a little sprinkling of rain put a damper on their wedding day — far from it, in fact. Looking at these images from The Life You Love, you’d never even know there was a drop from the sky! Jessica of Something To Celebrate worked with the bride to create a truly intimate family affair, resulting in a gorgeous wedding day full of smiles, lace, and some seriously awesome details.

From the coordinator, Jessica of Something To Celebrate: When I first met with Haley and her mom, Marla, they spoke fondly of their family farm, where they would have loved to host Haley and Jon’s wedding celebration. Our goal was to create that comfortable but intimate family farm feel, but at a location convenient to overnight accommodations, transportation, air travel, etc.

Drawing from the family farm appeal, we created an “heirloom and lace” theme for Haley and Jon’s wedding. The family wedding pictures, antique keys, and personalized items such as the bottle-stick aisle markers created by the groom, brought a familiar comfort to the atmosphere of this wedding, while the vintage floral vessels, handkerchief wedding invitations, and Marla’s collection of lace kept the wedding design light and delicate.

Although rain sprinkled their wedding day, Haley and Jon were married outside, beneath a canopy of fresh babies breath, and joyfully recessed to Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire.” Wedding guests enjoyed celebrating with food, drinks, dancing, and a dessert display complete with a scoop of ice cream to top it off. The night ended as Haley and Jon were driven away in the groomsman’s vintage car.
