Canadian Apple Orchard Wedding
When your parents live on an apple orchard, it’s a pretty safe assumption where you’ll be getting married. Caitie and Andrew were immediately drawn to the orchard grounds, and judging by these images from Young Hearts Photography, it’s easy to see why. We love the modern mix of classic whites and pinks throughout the floral design by Hoopla Event Design & Styling and all the reception decor!
From the bride, Caitie: When Andrew and I first got engaged, we instantly knew where we wanted to get married. Andrew’s parents had recently moved to an apple orchard and it is truly one of the most magical places. We knew that having a wedding at their house would not only be beautiful, but it would be that much more special to us because it was his family’s home.
Although Andrew and I are very similar, we are very different in that I’m incredibly girly while Andrew is very much a man’s man – and we wanted our wedding to reflect that. Hoopla Event Design & Styling did a fantastic job of bringing our personalities into the decor by incorporating silver glitter for me and elements of wood for Andrew – it was perfection. One of my favourite aspects of the decor were the flowers. I knew I wanted my bridesmaids in different shades of pink, and when I told Hoopla this idea, they suggested the flowers should create an ombre effect to go with the dresses. It was something that I had never seen before, and I felt really lucky to have such creative geniuses on board to bring my vision to life.
I think what I will always remember most about our wedding was how much our family was a part of every aspect of it. We got married at Andrew’s parents home, our moms made the desserts, my dad’s band played the music, and all of the ladies in my bridal party helped with various crafty projects leading up to the big day. Although we had over 200 guests on our wedding day, it felt very much like a family gathering and we’re forever grateful to all of those who were a part of it.
To all of those brides and grooms about to take the big plunge, my biggest piece of advice would be to live in the moment and enjoy yourself on your big day. If you do, you’ll realize it is the most incredible feeling to be surrounded by all of your favourite people, wishing you nothing but a happy and wonderful life together forever. Trust your vendors and let them do their thing – they are the professionals after all. With Hoopla, I told them my vision and then let them run with it, and they made our wedding even more beautiful then I could have ever imagined. Also, make time for dinner dates with your fiance, where you can talk about everything except the wedding. At the end of the day, planning a wedding is all consuming, so it’s important to make time to reconnect and remember why you’re getting married in the first place!

I love the bridesmaids dresses! The venue looks stunning!
Hi there, beautiful wedding from the pictures. Just wondering if your husbands parents do weddings at their orchard often or if they would be willing to?
Thanks 🙂
This looks beautiful. I wish you both a long and happy marriage. Where did this wedding take place and is the venue available for rent? This is exactly what I have been looking for and close to home.
I absolutely LOVE this wedding and have been trying to replicate it at our upcoming July wedding at an apple orchard in Minnesota. I’ve been scouring through websites trying to find the groomsmen’s ties but have had no so luck. Is there any way where I could find this out?? It would be so helpful! Thank you! -Angie
