French Botanical Inspiration Shoot
As soon as we saw this styled shoot from Marion Heurteboust, our jaws hit the floor. Designed and brought to life in France by Nessa of MiY Made in You, the shoot marries organic floral goodness with a touch of botanical and scientific flair. Read on for more of Nessa’s inspiration for this incredible styled session:
From the event designer, Nessa: I thought about this inspiration for a wedding with plants, with a hint of botanical cabinet of curiosities, some naturalist drawings and a touch of science. I imagined it for a bride who would like to have many greenery, and lots of quirky plants, like fritillary, poppies, ferns, moss or blue thistle. And besides this aesthetic, placing many pot plants on the table incontestably cuts the flower cost, plus you can give most of them to your guest as favors or replant them in your garden.
We really wanted to give a natural feeling with some science related ephemera for styling. Ambre, our model, wears Delphine Manivet’s Raphaelo dress. A beautiful calais lace overdress long with a small train, worn over Cesar, a open back silk and satin dress.
