European-Inspired Jewel Toned Wedding Ideas
If there’s anything we’ve learned from today’s styled shoot, it’s that effortless style can still look chic. Julie Wilhite captured this beautiful wedding inspiration played out by 36th Street Events and Remi & Gold, who fused together jewel tones and organic design for a fête ideal for any European-loving couple.
From the event designer, 36th Street Events: Inspired by deep berry tones and understated elegance, we wanted to show that brides can embrace color while still having their wedding be beautiful, soft and romantic. We wanted to keep all other elements refined + minimal; pulling in wood, flowers + food found in nature, gold accents in the furniture and soft greenery. Varied natural textures, beautiful hand-lettered calligraphy and deep earth tones add timeless romance to the tablescape. Each element incorporated was carefully curated to reflect simplistic elegance. By selecting a flowing, effortless gown for the beautiful bride we carried this into her look, showcasing a bride that is authentic to her style on her wedding day.
Our venue, Jennifer’s Garden in Austin, Texas, brought out the European touch with its space having an old-world feel. The Spanish style tile framing the door, the hand carved wood, the beautiful textured stucco – it all was perfect for setting the scene. By choosing a venue that both mimics your style and speaks for itself is how you can carry your style seamlessly throughout the entire event. To fully bring the look together, Birch & Brass styled a seating area to add atmosphere + showcase that berry color palette that we started with.
The tablescape was a highlight but the one moment that shines brightest is the moment where the bride and groom are laughing together. That moment is what it is all about. On your wedding day, it’s about celebrating the love you share, enjoying the presence of the people you love and living in that moment for as long as possible. The joy, the laughter, the love. That’s what’s important. The hearts of the two people uniting, staying true + authentic to yourselves and intentionally curating pieces that reflect what’s most important to you. Remember: Be true to yourself and create a beautiful environment to enjoy the most important thing about a wedding – your love and your guests.
