Brave Wedding Ideas

Inspired by the movie Brave, this styled shoot styled by Tweedt Weddings with photography by Emily Crall Photography captured the essence and aesthetics of this Pixar animation to a t. The overall mood of this tablescape has a little bit of that mystic yet ethereal vibe combined with woodsy details that hmm hmm hmm! Adorable. The bride completely steals the spotlight, making for one gorgeous grownup Merida!

I just knew when I first saw that Disney movie that I wanted to photograph a styled-shoot based on this strong, brave woman and the rich Scottish culture. I got to work with the greatest group of vendors to pull this all off, including authentic Scottish pastries! The weather turned out less than ideal (we got a huge snowstorm the week of the shoot), but we made it work and I ended up loving the drifts of snow that landed right where we were setting up the table. Because the movie Brave focused so much on a mother/daughter relationship, we chose not to use a “groom” model for the shoot and simply focus on our “bride”, Felicia.
