Backyard Napa Valley Wedding

If you ever wondered what kind of wedding might come about from two animation artists getting married, you’re about to find out. Scott and Kendelle both work for Disney (how cool is that?), and both contributed their special talents for their big day. They enlisted the fab Sloan Photographers to capture their laid-back, backyard garden affair.

From the bride, Kendelle: I wanted our wedding to be small and intimate. It had to be outdoors in a natural place, and I wanted a backyard sort of feel. I guess our wedding was kinda of country and rustic in a way. I didn’t really have a theme just a feeling I wanted was casual elegance outside. I wanted it to feel like a family dinner in at a country home in late summer. I tried to stick with fresh greens, pinks, and some orange. For DIY, we spent spring and summer making jams that were our give aways. Most of the calligraphy on the escort cards, signs, and menus I did save for the labels on the jams. Both Scott and I are artists, so I asked him to paint the guest book.
