Whimsical Illinois Barn Wedding
If you’re as Pinterest-crazy as we are, you’re going to love this Illinois wedding. Filled with brass animal figurines and accents of teal and pink, there’s plenty to set your heart swooning. Thanks to photographer Kate Miller Photography and Adriana Amarei of Life Made Pretty for lending their talents on this one!
From the bride, Niki: Our wedding day was a more artistic version of a DIY/Pinterest-y wedding, with tons of details, pops of coral, a bar in a silo, brass animal place settings, and a cocktail hour that was also a carnival. The venue was a gorgeous rehabbed barn complete with an little outdoor marketplace, duck pond and outdoor gazebo. There was some amazing floral and altar design by owner Adriana Amarei of Life Made Pretty including a wonderfully whimsical bouquet, florals in old gold and clear liquor bottles, and a fabulous floral-woven hutch to house the animal place settings.
We used amazing rustic vintage rentals like old doors, food on barrels, carnival booths, and had an adorable bunting and buttercream cake (with a sneaky dog on the back). Bridesmaid gifts were vintage broached collected by the bride, each with an elaborate backstory to represent the very different personalities of each Maid. Groomsmen gifts were unique whimsical cufflinks tailored to each of the fellas interests and personalities.

That wedding cake is just plain adorable! I love the bunting all around it. So cute!
What a fun and beautiful way to celebrate your wedding day! I love the ring toss and the dainty floral arrangements on the tables! My favorite though, the place card holders / wedding guest gifts – priceless!!
Love this wedding! I’m actually crossing my fingers as we speak for a barn-styled wedding in July!!!
Love the succulents in the bouquet! And the pops of coral are an amazing touch
There are so many amazing little details to this wedding I fell in love with! The cake toppers that were painted to look the bride and groom though really -bad pun in 3, 2, 1- took the cake for me 🙂 The carnival games were probably a favourite for the guests too! What a fun way to spend a reception. We at Paloma Blanca love hearing about how we played a little part in a couples special day as well, so if they want to share their story with us too, they can either submit it on the website, or email it in to us at brides[at]palomablanca[dot]com! Congrats!
I adore the table runners! Does anyone know where they’re from?
My daughter is getting married at the barn in April and we just love your style! Where did you get your table runners? We have been searching but can’t quite find the right thing! Thanks!
