Vintage Indiana Wedding
You may remember this epic sixties engagement session inspired by Yoko Ono and John Lennon that I shared a few months ago. Megan of Megan W Photography also captured their wedding and I am ecstatic to share with you!
From Lora: Our style is eclectic, laid back, vintage, alternative. We had a dj spinning old funk and soul records, I wore a tea length Audrey Hepburn inspired 50’s wedding dress from a designer in LA, and the food is all Southern Indiana with an emphasis on local and organic; barbecue, corn on the cob, lemon poppyseed cake, Upland brew, etc. It’s nonstuffy and fun. We hope 🙂
Wedding Vendors (Bloomington, IN):
Venue: Deer Park Manor / Photographer: Megan of Megan W Photography / DJ: Seth Mahern of the Magnetic South recording studio / Flowers: made her mother and her mother’s best friend / Caterer: Lighthouse Lunchbox diner in Bloomfield, IN ((812) 384-4105)
I’ve never seen anything quite like this…looks like it fits them perfectly. Lovely!
*love* the pic of the bride walking down the aisle. What a perfect silhouette of the dress!
Oh how lovely! Were these shot on a film camera as well?
What a beautiful wedding, such an adorable dress and I do love a Groom with a bow tie! 🙂

Vintage awesomeness! I adore her dress and style. The photos are beautiful!
Her dress is just so sweet + lovely! We’re loving the showcase of black and white photos, too!
what a fabulous dress!! 🙂
as soon as i saw that dress, i was sold…but there are so many lovely details about this wedding…
I never usually comment, but I LOVED this wedding so much that I just have to tell the bride/groom!!! It’s how I envision my own wedding. I love her hair, I think I might do the same w/ the little veil, it’s so chic, yet vintage inspired. I also have a tulle skirt on my dress 🙂 I’m bookmarking this one FOR SURE!!
Love the photographs of the vintage wedding. I especially like the black and white picture of them dancing.
I love tulle dresses!
Hi Lora,
Would you please provide me with the details of where you purchased your dress? I absolutely LOVE it, and would like to wear it at my wedding next year.
Thanks!

Really cute dress! Love the Jimmy Choos!
love her gown!
OMG – love the feel to this group. They must have been so much fun. Love the B&W photos.
I’m 99.999% sure that’s a Dolly Couture dress! (www.dollycouture.com) Their work is absolutely stunning, and she looked amaaaazing 😀 Beautiful wedding! Would love to know where she got that veil, too.
Love the simplicity of this wedding–the short dress and the herb-y bouquets are fabulous!
I love it too. The bride looks like Audrey Hepburn. The vintage style fits the wedding perfectly. It was just simple but it was really perfect. I like the picture of the bride and the groom about to kiss, it’s like a scene taken from a movie. Thanks for sharing this with us.
What a stunning wedding!! So classic! Great job Megan on creating these nostalgic and romantic images.
Beautiful bride and wedding dress. I really like the set up of the chairs facing the beautiful tree.
This wedding is so classy and lovely!
This is a gorgeous wedding, and I adore seeing anything 60s inspired–as is our upcoming wedding 🙂
Check out Stephanie James Couture if you love her dress. That’s who made mine, I got it at Houston Bridal Gallery.

The ceremony decor is all about that magnificient tree…wow!!
Wow. This wedding is unreal. I adore the bride’s look, and the couple looks so happy together!
Oh my! I love it! Beautiful work.
Waou! This is so romantic! Lovely photoshoot!
Wow! I had no idea our wedding was featured here until just a few moments ago! Thank you all for the lovely words. It was an amazing day and we all had a blast sporting some vintage inspired attire 🙂 The dress is a Dolly Couture creation, the “Moonriver” dress reminiscent of the dress Aundrey Hepburn wore in “Funny Face”. The ladies at Dolly did a fantastic job, it fit like a dream right out of the box. The veil is from a little boutique in Chicago called Weddings 826, a lucky find I picked up just two days before the wedding. We also would not have looked at all this good without Megan W Photography. I bow to her mad skills 🙂
Good luck planning, everyone! Happy wedding days to ya’ll!
I’ve been looking for this dress forever! It’s absolutely gorgeous. Definitely planning on getting it now.
So cute and sweet. Her dress reminds me of Audrey Hepburn 🙂
It is indeed a Dolly Couture dress – Moon River to be exact – and I’ll be wearing the same one on my wedding day!!
I’m actually very glad to see these photos, as my dress came back with the waistline different than I’d expected…this bride’s dress looks the same as mine and she looks wonderful! (pro tip: dollycouture.com)
