Urban, Nature-Inspired Wedding in a Colorful Arts District
Today’s nature-inspired wedding is an explosion of urban goodness, modern edge, garden lushness and a tropical oasis where you’d least expect it – the Los Angeles Art District! While graffiti bedecks streets where Peter and Patricia wed, it’s their colorful personalities that set the tone for the celebration itself. We’re pretty obsessed with the way this industrial space was transformed by this incredible team of California wedding vendors, and we can’t wait for you to dive into the mod wedding inspiration thats in store!
Ruffled member, Nicole George Events, combined polished details like rounded ghost chairs, rose gold accents and simple acrylic signage with pops of burgundy amidst the abundant greenery to create an intimate escape where P and P’s love takes center stage. We’re also pretty in love with the striped blankets they provided for guests at the ceremony. It’s all in the details!
From the acrylic signage to the candlelit reception to the embroidered wedding dress, Annie McElwain Photography captures it all with pop + punch!
From the stylist, Nicole George Events: Los Angeles natives Patricia & Peter truly embraced the beauty and essence of the city through their modern wedding with urban inspiration. The uniquely lush and industrial venue, Millwick, located in the Arts District in downtown LA, was the perfect location to reflect their polished yet edgy personalities and relationship. It was also important to the couple that we still create a romantic and intimate ambiance in such a space by utilizing candlelight and lush greenery while also adding elegant touches with rose gold accents and clear acrylic signage and ghost chairs. And of course, an LA party isn’t complete without a couple of yummy signature cocktails and a lush display of desserts! Our dream team of vendors totally nailed this one!
We could admire this modern calligraphy from Dixie on Dallas forever.
