Tropical Maui Wedding With Bamboo and Monstera Leaves
We’re spilling the metaphorical juice about Jenny and Alex’s tropical Maui wedding today. Monstera leaves, anthuriums in bloom, bamboo chairs and ocean views reigned supreme from start to finish – we couldn’t help but want in on the action! Their wedding day may be loaded with punchy colors, but it’s their blissful smiles as they step into forever that have our hearts fluttering the most. Pore into their gallery with us below!
California photographer Krista Mason Photography captures the light of the day and the light of their hearts in a chillingly beautiful way. Seriously, we’ve looked at these gorgeous shots a dozen times and still get goosebumps.

Coordinated by Chic Celebrations, not a detail went amiss. We’re on the verge of being a little too obsessed with their clear marquee dinner, sitting prim and proper, oceanside.
When you have a Hawaiian wedding venue as magical as Montage Kapalua Bay, you immediately say yes! Pun intended.
Exotic and exquisite, these blooms from Lauryl Lane just keep getting better!
From the photographer, Krista Mason Photography: The couple wanted their wedding to feel vibrant, bold and colorful. They love Maui and wanted to share all of the native colors and flowers Hawaii has to offer with their guests. Being away from their favorite home venues and recommended officiants, they chose a local Hawaiian officiant to preside over their ceremony and help their guests feel welcome and at home.
They kept their guest list small and intimate. Dinner consisted of one “U” shaped table so that everyone could interact with each other family-style. Each place setting had a hand-torn linen ribbon with the guests’ names painted on them.
They chose to use all locally grown, tropical flowers. Ginger, ferns and orchids were just a few of their favorites. For their ceremony, the floral designer created a half circle of greenery and flowers that we that the couple stood in the center of as we they took their vows.

Entertainment was plentiful throughout the evening. The DJ was amazing, guests played games and danced hilarious dances! The celebration even included a traditional fire dancer during dinner! Color was so important to the couple. The designers used colors, patterns and textures that made the event feel warm, lively and elegant, but not over the top.
Maui Artistry did a gorgeous number on Jenny, highlighting her natural beauty in a soft hairstyle with an entrancing makeup look.
