Southern Charm Meets Modern Glam for this Wedding
Southern charm is known for having its own timeless elegance, and those words perfectly describe Catherine and Alex’s wedding day. Alisha Crossley Photography photographed the couple on their happiest day, which saw no shortage of beautiful burgundy blooms and lush greenery. Thank you to Becky’s Brides and HotHouse Design Studio for helping the couple’s dream wedding come to life!
From the wedding planner, Becky’s Brides: It’s hard to put in to words how much we enjoyed working with Catherine and Alex. Catherine is so sweet and thoughtful; Alex is kind and clearly loves Catherine with all of his heart. Together this couple had the most beautiful wedding day filled to the brim with joy and a lot of happy tears. These two were married at Park Crest Event Facility in Hoover, Alabama in perfect Alabama fall weather. Catherine picked a truly incredible vendor team that made her day so enjoyable and absolutely amazing. Catherine chose a beautiful long-sleeve dress accented with the perfect amount of sparkle in her belt and her amazing Badgley Mischka shoes. She looked absolutely stunning – a perfectly classic and timeless bride. HotHouse Design Studio made an amazing fall-inspired bouquet to complement her look.
We’ve seen many, many first looks, but the emotions shared during Catherine’s first looks with her soon-to-be-husband and her sweet father left us all a bit teary-eyed. Catherine & Alex had such a fun bridal party who clearly loved them very much. Catherine’s gorgeous maids wore dresses from Bella Bridesmaid and Alex’s dapper groomsmen wore tuxes from Mr. Burch. The ceremony took place in the gardens with 350 of their closest family and friends witnessing this sweet couple take their vows. The reception took place indoors at the Carriage House while our lovely couple ate their first meal as husband and wife under a beautiful gazebo.
Guests were welcomed to the reception with a stunning 50 person head table and a one-of-a-kind champagne display designed by HotHouse just for Catherine! After dinner, guests were invited downstairs for cake and dancing! Catherine’s cake by Barb’s Cakes was an absolute showstopper. She wanted her cake to be a huge element of her wedding design. Her six-tier wedding cake sat on a stage with spotlights, draping and floral. Guests were ooh-ing and ahh-ing as they saw this beautiful cake! At the end of the night, Mr. and Mrs. Lanter rode off in style thanks to Rob Conrad’s Classic Cars! Family and friends waved farewell to the newlyweds and sent them off with sparklers and lots of love.
