Rustic Chic Fall Wedding with Tartan Details
When you receive a gallery with the headline “Scottish Fall Wedding”, you know you’re in for a treat! But Bethannie and Ryan’s journey together is every bit as beautiful as their wedding day. An enchanting red barn played host to their Texas celebration, and naturally tartan details played a key role in the design. We’re loving their rustic garden vibes with pieces from our very own Whim Hospitality and the laidback ease of the day itself. These images from Gloria Goode Photography just may move you to tears!
From the stylist, Altar Ego Weddings: Bethannie and Ryan are a sweet couple with a sweet story. Their story includes Ryan surviving brain cancer and surgery and Bethannie staying by his side the entire time. They wanted an unfussy wedding weekend where all their friends and family could come and gather more like a family reunion. Red Corral Ranch is a weekend rental, so may of their family was able to stay on-site. Ryan is Scottish and wore his grandfather’s kilt. According to Scottish culture, the groom drapes his bride in his tartan to welcome her into his clan. We based the color scheme on the colors in the tartan. Beyond that, Bethannie wanted a rustic moody garden theme. She wore a beautiful lace dress and went barefoot. Games and puzzles play a big role in the couple’s lives, so we incorporated that into the wedding as well. They had a puzzle for guests to sign and her father crafted wooden puzzle pieces for the backs of their chairs. The couple further enhanced the laid back atmosphere by setting up some tables with games on one side of the room. Later in the evening, they joined their guests playing their favorite games.
