Denver Arts District Wedding
This wedding, which was sent our way by Levi Tijerina, is everything we could hope to see in a feature. A beautiful reception with twinkle lights aplenty, an intimate ceremony, and a gorgeous couple both inside and out. Mimi and Le also celebrated their culture with a tea ceremony before exchanging vows and heading to their spectacular warehouse reception:
From the bride, Mimi: We wanted something a little offbeat and fun, with an understated class that would reflect both of our personalities while also leaving it open to incorporate several Vietnamese traditions that we valued. We would describe the look of our wedding as warm, romantic, simple, with undertones of quirkiness and lightheartedness. We tried to emphasize our vision and look with a color scheme of black, white, gold, and peach. The table numbers, centerpieces, garlands, and signage were all DIY projects.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Stay true to your vision but don’t stress over trying to make everything perfect. After all, the wedding is only a party and the important thing is your marriage. Things will not go exactly how you planned and it’s okay! Just have fun and soak up every moment you can because it will be over before you know you it. When I look back all I remember is how much fun I had celebrating with all of our friends and family.

From the photographer, Levi: The wedding took place all over Denver, Colorado, and is a Vietnamese wedding. It started with a Tea Ceremony at the bride’s home and then traversed to the Denver Basilica and from there to RiNo, which is the arts district of Denver. One of Denver’s best wedding planners (Hey! Party Collective) helped plan the reception, which took place at an awesome warehouse/event center in North Denver.
