Colorful Santa Margarita Wedding
This California wedding at Spanish Oaks Ranch in California and shot by Abi Q Photography is just what we need to perk up our work week. How can you be glum looking at these bright colors and dahlia floral arrangements? The bride, Lisa (who is also the brains behind Marzee Social Events), and her groom picked their wedding colors around the shades of their aisle runner, which set the stage for one amazing wedding day:
From the bride, Lisa: The color scheme was based on the colors of the aisle runner. The main colors were coral, gold/orange, rust red, lipstick pink, and teal. I painted everything (the desk that the cakes were on, the birdcage, & the candle holders that went down the aisle. I made the table numbers with number wood blocks decorated with the fabric from the aisle runner, the gifts for our guests were mixed CDs with cutout fabric hearts on the CD pocket.
Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? Just have fun with it and remember what is important…if you have a strict budget, try to narrow down what you don’t really care as much about and save money on those details. It is fun to plan your own wedding, especially for those of you who like to have control, but it is important to have a day of coordinator, so that you can relax and enjoy every part of that day. And of course try to take it all in and cherish every second of it because it goes by too fast!
