Byron Bay Farm Wedding
I don’t know that I’ve ever been so smitten so quickly when viewing a wedding as I was with this one. Tegan and Jordan’s wedding was the perfect embodiment of what we imagine Australian weddings to be – classic, elegant, full of rustic countryside charm and plenty of impeccable scenery to go around. Thanks to Shane Shepherd for the photography and Elise of Eylssium Blooms who absolutely nailed it with the floral design!
From the bride, Tegan: We wanted to make the most of the day so we had the ceremony early in the afternoon so we could enjoy the afternoon with our guests on the farm drinking from Mr Jenkins and enjoying Eat Drinks mezze and canapés before heading off for photos. We wanted our wedding to be one guests would remember so we invited Hello Mr Jenkins along, compiled a killer playlist, and set up a dancefloor and fire pits under the stars. We made sure there was plenty of food and desert to go around too! If I were to sum up the theme, I’d say understated native Australian (Jordan wanted to have an Australiana themed wedding in the outback… needless to say, we compromised).
Jordan’s sisters took care of the cake and hand sewed 75 napkins (brown napkins were impossible to find so we decided to make our own!), Jordan’s parents and grandparents made fig and chilli jam for all the guests (favours) and my brother and father built the arch we married under and the fire pits which kept our guests warm.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Leave room in your budget for a Cinematographer!

Yes it is! Love this wedding and the couple are filming my wedding next year!! They are wedding cinematographers.
