Romantic South Carolina Wedding

As soon as you say the words “Charleston wedding” to me, I already have a certain vision in mind — classically elegant with nods to the South and enough touches of charming colors to keep it modern. Mercedes and Austin’s wedding fit my vision to a T, with its blush pink and peach colors, gorgeous scenery, and the talented Virgil Bunao and A Charleston Bride on board.

From the event designers, A Charleston Bride: When arriving at the William Aiken House guests were welcomed with fruit infused water on such a sunny, June day. After the ceremony, servers passed champagne with St Germaine and guests were also greeted by a raw bar and southern cheese display. As guests made their way upstairs, there was a stationed style dinner with local and southern food including Amberjack and short ribs. The tables were set with gold containers full of lush ranunculus, garden roses and hanging amaranthus in various shades of blush and peach.

After dinner guests were welcomed into a lounge filled tent which was draped in ivory, gold and peach fabric that led to a 22-foot oval structure with three gold encrusted chandeliers that were filled with crystals and hanging flowers. Next to the tent was a circular bar with floating chandeliers. At the end of the evening the bride and groom were wished farewell with gold sparklers and taken away on a rickshaw covered in ribbon! This wedding and reception was so classic and glamorous — something like you have never seen.
