Romantic Oklahoma Wedding with a Floral Wall Backdrop
As soon as the weather starts to get chillier, we get more and more excited to see the broodier color palettes — and today’s real wedding features a stunning navy blue and berry tones, perfect for the crisp temperatures. Aubrey Marie Photography captured the wedding of Madison and Logan, who said their “I Do”s at home in Oklahoma surrounded by friends and family (and beautiful floral installations to boot!).
From the bride, Madison: The vision for my wedding was a mix between rustic and elegant. I wanted an outdoor wedding, but still a very formal reception! For me, flowers were the most important aspect of my wedding. I wanted that to be the focus of the decor! I began with the berry as my inspiration and tried to find colors that complemented it well. I knew that I wanted Logan to wear a navy suit or tux, but we fell in love with the two toned navy/black tux because it was so different but still very formal! I then brought in the peach/blush color to complement the berry and navy!
There were so many things throughout my day that were so meaningful. Logan surprised me with a bible that had “Madison Magill” engraved on it and a MRS. box!!!! My mom surprised me with allowing me to wear her pearl earrings that I had always wanted to wear, and we were able to use Logan’s mother’s childhood dresser as our cake table. However, the most meaningful was probably having both my mom and dad give me away at the altar. Both of my parents have done so much and been such a huge part of my life, I felt as though they both needed to be honored! My favorite part of the wedding day was enjoying the reception! Logan and I have been planning this wedding for 6 months, and to finally see all of your work and vision come to life was so memorable. We were very much able to enjoy our reception, the food, and band. It was amazing to soak in all the people who were there to celebrate our big day with us!
From the photographer, Aubrey Marie Photography: Logan and Madison met in 7th grade and became high school sweethearts. After dating throughout high school and college, Logan proposed to Madison just a week before they graduated from Oklahoma State University. He included their closest family and friends in a day long engagement that included a new outfit for Madison, getting her nails done, meeting her family at her family church, and a surprise party at the end of the evening. After six months of planning, they exchanged vows on October 15th, 2016.
WOW look at those flowers.
