A Gorg Red Wedding Gown Made a Splash in This Los Angeles Wedding
Sharon turned heads in a breathtaking red wedding gown by Vera Wang at her Los Angeles Natural History Museum wedding. From ethically-sourced rings to carefully chosen details, Sharon and Bryce’s big day was a true reflection of love and intention.
Sharon and Bryce uniquely planned each step of their engagement together. They worked with an independent and ethical jewelry designer to create bespoke engagement rings that resonated with their values as a couple. On their tenth dating anniversary, they both proposed to each other at the Getty Villa in Los Angeles, with an incredible view of the Pacific Ocean.
With intentionality in mind, Sharon and Bryce planned a travel-inspired celebration, where colors, cuisine, and fashion made for an unparalleled wedding day. Los Angeles’ Natural History Museum was in full bloom and offered exhibits and remarkable outdoor gardens for guests to wander. Sharon wore a cardinal red Vera Wang ballgown that flowed in architectural layers of tulle and horsehair trim. Bryce wore a custom navy blue suit with a jacquard pattern, complete with a pocket square perfectly matching Sharon’s gown. An intimate ceremony was held, nestled into the rose gardens, with an asymmetrical altar constructed from warm-toned florals and textural grasses and greenery. Upon entering the reception space, guests were met with brilliant statues, vaulted ceilings, and a rush of golden decor and lighting. Dinner tables were named after each of the couple’s favorite cities, where a full dinner menu evoked memories from Capri to Taiwan. Inspired by Fortnum and Mason’s “eau de nil” color, a seafoam teal made up delicate touches, from invitations to Sharon’s heels. Red was paired as an accent color, notably used in the monochromatic red floral centerpieces. Hoping to instill their love of travel and wonder, the couple even created a quiet lounge area. This space encouraged guests to choose a book as a wedding favor to take home, complete with customized bookmarks from the couple.
