Peony Pink Wedding Beneath the Santa Barbara Palms

A peony pink wedding is hard to beat #amiright? Add palm trees, succulents and a warm ocean breeze and you’ve got a tropical fete that’s completely stolen our hearts. Meredith and Steve tied the knot amidst a dreamy conglomeration of everything fine – velvet, lace and some crystal chandeliers worthy of a standing ovation. These star-crossed lovers (truly) wed in paradise, and we are bursting with excitement to share these images from Anna Delores Photography with you below!

From the photographer, Anna Delores Photography: Meredith and Steve found each other in Santa Barbara after years of close encounters that never brought them together. Although Meredith grew up in New Jersey and Steve in Ohio, they both found their way to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. During their freshman year they lived in adjacent dorms and during their senior year they lived a few houses away from each other. After leaving Miami, Meredith went on to graduate school at Syracuse University in New York and Steve landed a job in Los Angeles. Meredith finished school and came to Santa Barbara to work. A new job then led Steve to Santa Barbara. So 2,000 miles from Oxford and three years after graduation they ended up in the same town. They found each other through social media looking for fellow Miamians in Santa Barbara, and met for the first time at a wine tasting room in the city’s Funk Zone. Their attraction was immediate and they have since created an amazing life in the paradise they call home.

They chose Santa Barbara for their wedding and, with the help of Event of the Season, curated a stunning day with perfect weather in mid-September. The Fess Parker was a perfect venue for the couple, and the design team of Event of the Season + Knot Just Flowers created a warm palette of fuchsia, magenta, tangerine, and peony pink to make the decor pop.
