Modern Bohemian Fairytale Wedding Inspiration

My oh my, today’s styled shoot from Little Blue Bird Photography, is a treat for all the senses! Rich textures and earthy hues steal the show in this bohemian fairytale story, and we love the role each natural, foraged element plays. We know you’ll be equally as mesmerized by the floral details throughout, and just wait till you spy all the flashes of copper that will get you pinning fast.

From the photographer, Kendra of Little Blue Bird Photography: This styled wedding shoot was inspired by early spring gardens – raw, earthy, organic with a ton of blooms and greenery – but with a modern twist. We created this scene to inspire the bohemian bride who dreams of a beautiful intimate backyard wedding with just her closest friends and family. The goal was to take things that had been seen before and pair with them with something new or use them in a new way – a floral tie for the groom, for example – or beautiful calligraphy written on a tree instead of a sign post. We wanted to showcase the beauty in raw earthy elements (like raw wood, uncut Herkimer diamonds, fur rugs, the trees, greenery and blooms, organic cotton, and various marbles and stone textures) by pairing these with more modern styles currently trending in home decor (geometry shapes, macrame, and mixed metals). We also felt that the contrast between a more dark and moody photographic style and a spring styled shoot made for an interesting twist on the norm as well. We chose beautiful contrasting colors – shiny metallic golds and coppers, peaches, creams, and subdued greens paired with deep blues, purples and reds that really made each color pop. Sage Green Events created the perfect earthy centerpiece and a stunning wild bridal bouquet (she made these on site!) which paired perfectly with a romantic flowy gown from Desiree Spice and custom rose gold rings like nothing I have ever seen before from Jewelry Set in Stone. The point is to encourage brides to find inspiration everywhere and anywhere and think outside the box.
