Mixed Metals Wedding in La Jolla
When I heard “modern, mid-century meets bohemian wedding” and “palette full of blushes, fuchsia, and pops of coral” together in the same sentence, I knew I was in for a real treat, and this wedding from Melissa Biador, Amorology, and Plenty of Petals absolutely did not disappoint. Add in some accents of gold and brass, and you’ve got this richly textured wedding full of totally enviable details that have put it at the top of our favorites list for this year!
From the event designers, Amorology: Our inspiration for Joanne and Andrew’s dreamy day came from this couple’s love of clouds and sunsets. We infused their modern, mid-century meets bohemian wedding with a palette full of blushes, fuchsia and pops of coral. Accents of gold and brass mixed with vintage glassware topped tables dressed with textured runners. Table numbers floated in golden frames and champagne toasts were poured over delicate clouds of cotton candy in blush coupes.
As a nod to our bride’s love for all things boho, a whimsical macramé piece served as the escort display, complete with gold script and bright, playful florals. Fun lounge pieces including a white peacock chair and a Moroccan rug provided a haven for guests to relax during the evening while the little ones entertained themselves at their very own table, sitting on mini wooden stools. Loved ones left with a sweet homemade treat—delicious cookies created from a special family recipe!
