Make Your Own Summer Wedding Bouquet
Sun’s out, peonies out, guys. Summer is right around the corner and we are happy to see that it’s peony season again! Bright and bold colorful is the killer combo that makes this DIY summer bouquet such a visual treat. All you need is a small collection of your favorite blooms, Fiskars PowerGear2 pruners and pretty ribbon.
We worked with Jaime from Sweet Thorn Flora and she will show you how you make your own summer bouquet!
Let the color palette be your guide: lots of pink, pops of orange and a peek of purple with greenery in different textures for layering. There is no right or wrong way to get started. A mix of pink peonies, purple anemones, orange and pink ranunculus, pink spray roses and tulips will be the foundation of your bouquet. Muted eucalyptus greens, gray textured leaves from dusty miller and our fave – hellebores will play a supporting role in the making of this arrangement.
Since this bouquet is so lush and full, the base of it gets very thick with all the stems. Having PowerGear2 pruners from Fiskars makes trimming the stems easy peasy. These sharp, non-stick blade pruners feel you’re cutting butter and are so smooth to handle. It cuts up to 3/4″ thick branches and stems, and I do love how the handles roll in a way that mimics our natural hand movement. It takes the physical effort away from floral arranging, and you can lock the blade after you’re done for storage.
