Macarons and Market Lights: A Royal Palms Courtyard Wedding
How stinkin’ cute is this couple hailing all the way from New Zealand? They left the purple lupin fields of their country for the fragrant orange groves of this one, bringing their loved ones from all across the globe to one beautiful locale to watch them say “I do.” We’d describe their day as elegant, fun and spilling with sweet treats. Just wait till you see her striking ball gown too!
Christina and Kristopher know talent when they see it. How do we know? They called upon the pretty darn fabulous Kaylee Chelsea Photography to document their day.
Darling Found drew upon the beauty of the Arizona palms in this courtyard soiree, bringing in such cute details as a macaroon cart for dessert!

From the photographer, Kaylee Chelsea Photography: Christina and Kristopher married at the Historic 1929 Royal Palms Resort and Spa after traveling from New Zealand. The couple wanted an intimate wedding filled with their closest family and friends from all around the world.
The ceremony was in a tiny garden with overlapping trees. The elegant design filled the space with white roses and greenery. The beautiful wood doors opened as Christina and her father began their walk down the aisle. Christina wore a Hayley Paige wedding gown filled with layers of tulle. Kristopher absolutely lost it as she walked down the aisle. They each read their own vows, a groomsmen played a few worship songs and they shared communion.
Oh my goodness. That face. We don’t have a twig in our eyes, it’s full blown tears.
The cocktail hour was under an orange tree grove filled with twinkle lights. One of the highlights for guests was the Macaron Cart from Ruze Cake House covered in the most delicate pastel desserts.
After the grand entrance, all the guests were seated at two long farm tables full of candles and lush garlands to fill the space of the orange grove. The entire night was spent listening to a string band while eating, drinking, talking and dancing. It was a whimsical place to be.

The historic washed walls and greenery covered spaces was a dream backdrop. The couple snuck away during the reception to catch the last bit of light – they walked through the quiet venue under the doorways, through the gardens and across the paved streets.

The bride, Christina, describes her day as such: “The dream day. There will be no other day like this one. More memories will be made and new roles we will take on, but what comes from here on out is laid upon the vows we shared. And this dream day, it was perfect in every way. Friends + family gathered, an array of decadent sweets and delicious food, and most importantly the presence of Jesus.”
