Lake Como Palazzo Wedding With Sunset Riva Boat Portraits

Villa Sola Cabiati Caoimhe

Capturing the spirit of 16th century opulence, this Lake Como palazzo wedding invites us to the table of modern aristocrats. With a marvelous display of cream + white blooms, hand-scribbled paperie and classic gold-rimmed china, Janna Brown Design shows us how accessible these refined and timeless design concepts can truly be. I’ll admit, we took an early intermission to douse ourselves in Acqua di Parma and ask Alexa to “play some Italian opera, will you?” before we felt ready to return to this serene, yet robust gallery from Faith Roper Photography. The whole thing went off without a hitch, as masterpieces often do – so much so that we wouldn’t be surprised if Centorose un Tulipano has been harboring a secret ability to command the waves of the Italian lakes all this time. You’ll understand our suspiscions once you witness the flawless Riva Boat portraits at sunset – dazzling turquoise-blue water and all. Scroll on to see what modern fairytale romance looks like in this Lake Como palazzo wedding that runneth over with sophisticated elegance.

From the Photographer, Faith Roper Photography: Lake Como, Italy, with its mountain views, picturesque villages, and historic villas, is a wedding destination of dreams. Villa Sola Cabiati is a 16th century venue set on the shores of the lake in Tremezzo. The venue’s frescoed walls, antique furnishings, and epic views make it the perfect choice for a wedding on the lake. Our wedding inspiration features a garden ceremony followed by a reception in the ground floor salon with lake views. The bride’s gown from Ukraine-based designer Milla Nova is a beaded lace and satin creation that matched the luxury of the villa, while the groom wore a classic black tux by Italian designer Domenico Caraceni. Sugared Fig Paperie designed beautiful cream and gold paper goods. Round tables in the elaborate salon were set with cream flowers and cream and gold plate ware. At the end of the day, our couple enjoyed a sunset boat ride on the lake. The event was all beautifully designed and styled by Janna Brown, with expert coordination by Centorose e un tulipano, and photography by Faith Roper Photography.
