Key West Beach Wedding

It’s no well-kept secret here at Ruffled that we’re suckers for a good old nautical-themed wedding, and Luis and Luisa’s Key West wedding certainly fits the bill! Taking the classic navy and white color scheme and adding a punch of pink updates the theme with a more feminine twist, all beautifully showcased by 13:13 Photography.

[expand] From the bride, Luisa: I wanted the wedding to have a very romantic, vintage feel with a 1950’s nautical theme. Our color scheme was navy blue, white and pink. The navy and white made it classic and nautical, while the pink made it funky and romantic.

There was a whole bunch of DIY projects. Everything on the welcome table was DIY. The guest book was messages in a bottle, to go with the nautical theme. I made signs for the sparkler send off and for the gift bags. All the welcome presents in the guests rooms were made myself with the help of some family friends.

Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? HAVE FUN!! Don’t sweat the details that day. It’s going to be so much fun, so enjoy every moment.

We are so very grateful to have been a part of their gorgeous wedding and to call them friends. The bride had so many DIY projects. From the little box she made holding her parents handkerchiefs, the handkerchiefs she had embroidered, the little wooden people she custom painted to make more like the two of them and their precious dog Polo, to the card box and reception signs, it was all so beautifully done!
