Jovi + Grant's Vintage Handmade Wedding

Happy Friday! We will start the day with Jovi and Grant’s chic intimate wedding shot by Jude Mooney. Jovi, the bride, wore her great grandmother’s Edwardian vintage wedding dress and I’m smitten by how wonderful it looks on her! It looks brand new and the eyelet lace texture is so fresh!

It was the most crazy, wonderful day of our lives! No amount of planning could have prepared us for how beautiful and intense it was going to be. Our combined income as an artist/teacher and carpenter/musician didn’t afford us a lot of outside help so we had been planning every detail of the wedding ourselves for about 9 months. As if the amount of human drama of getting married weren’t already enough, at some point in the beginning of the reception just after the champagne toast there occurred the unthinkable, the music suddenly died as our d.j. equipment got a complete champagne bath! Between our d.j. friends who had come all the way from Pennsylvania, the caterers and my father who took a blow-dryer to the equipment it was sorted out within an hour. As it turned out, we were the only ones stressed about it. There was a vivid moment where my little brother came up to me and told me with a smile that what had just occurred was going to make our great wedding day story. He was right! You can imagine how good the music sounded when it came back on. What a dance party! What an incredible day!
