Intimate Wedding with Pup Ring Bearers
How adorable is this playful + intimate Austin wedding? Some might consider planning a wedding on a hotel balcony to be a challenge, but Katy and Charlie accepted it with gusto and the result has truly left us speechless! Soft, pastel blooms from Margot Blair created an exquisite balance for the dark, geometric furniture, and those halo-wearing canines made sure that nothing was lacking on this special day. We especially love the pink watercolor curtain that served as an eye-catching ceremony backdrop. Jenna McElroy captured every small detail from the velvet ribbons that decorate the bouquet to the flash tat bar at the larger reception. We can’t wait for you to see it all!
From the photographer, Jenna McElroy: Katy and Charlie opted for a fun and intimate ceremony inside the newly built boutique South Congress Hotel in Austin. They were married on the balcony of one of the hotel’s suites, while their 15 closest friends and family (and puppies!) gathered on the mid-mod furniture in the hotel room. The ceremony site was adorned with gorgeous florals by Margot Blair, and candles with a pink backdrop to ensure privacy during the nuptials. As everyone gathered close together, there was not a dry eye in the room when these two said their vows.
After the ceremony, everyone laughed and celebrated with macarons from Café No Sé, and champagne in the hotel room. Shortly after, these two were officially announced as Mr and Mrs at their reception of 75 people at Malverde in downtown Austin. These two danced, and chatted the night away with loved ones, with views of the Austin skyline as the backdrop.
