Half Moon Bay California Wedding
If there’s one thing I’ve learned today, it’s that when Jen Rodriguez, Ambrini Events and Alena Jean come together, they create wedding magic. Katie and Geoff’s wedding in Half Moon Bay, CA is truly a sight to behold, and we absolutely love that the day was full of games and surprises for the guests in attendance!
From the bride, Katie: Our venue was such a unique setting that we really didn’t need to bring too much to add to the style. What details we did bring in we wanted to feel romantic and rustic in the midst of such a fun backdrop. We wanted simple centerpieces so went with white and blush single stem flowers in small, clear and gold vases. My mom, sister, and bridesmaid helped me to arrange the flowers the day before the wedding. I collected a lot of bottles and vases throughout the year, some of which I spray painted gold to mix in.
I loved the gold chevron table runners that I found at Paper Source, so I typed the escort cards on tags and stamped them with a gold chevron pattern to tie that theme together. I used tiny gold clothes pins to string them from a vintage map of California that I found at a flea market. We numbered the tables using water bottles with stamped heart tags. For every DIY thing we did for the wedding, there’s no way we could have done it all ourselves. Family, friends, and day of planners truly helped to tie our vision together.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Don’t forget that your wedding is meant to be about the two of you, celebrating your love and commitment to one another with the people that mean the most to you. Every tiny detail may seem important while you’re planning, but the people, the love, and the laughter are going to be what you remember most.
