Glam Wedding in a Warehouse
“Elegant with an unexpected twist of industrial” is exactly how we would describe this wedding from Mallory + Justin Photographers. Raquel and Steve wanted a memorable wedding day in a warehouse space, and they found the ideal venue in Cleveland’s Lake Erie Building. Of course, the day wouldn’t have been complete without the floral designs from Plantscaping!
From the bride, Raquel: We wanted to make sure that the wedding felt very us, and not go overboard in too many details to make sure it was just for us (which Steve was really good at making sure I didn’t get too carried away!). We had recently moved back to Cleveland from Manhattan and we both really love the industrial look (think Houston Hall in West Village). We had looked around at a lot of warehouse space in Cleveland and had found out about the Lake Erie Building and we both loved it! We wanted it to be a party that not only Steve and I would remember, but that all of our guests will remember!
Bouquet recipe: White garden, spray and hothouse roses, accented with very pale Blue Nigella, Dusty Miller and Seeded Eucalyptus Berries.
The color scheme we had in mind was navy blue, dark grey and a pale bluish-grey.. colors that we both love. Plus in the reception place, the Lake Erie Building, at night the windows at night had the perfect colors of blue that really made it look special inside without a lot of up lighting. For the DIYs, we had a lot of help from our families. My father and uncles hung all the lights for the reception and made the Edison bulb fixture for above our head table. We made the light up BAR and R&S signs. We made the chalkboard with the seating chart and I wrote out all the names, as well as all the names on the place cards on the champagne bottles.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Relax and enjoy this time as much as possible! It’s crazy to think how at times during the planning how overwhelming it was, but when you make it to that day – it’s the best! Savor every moment of it! It’s hard to believe it’s all over already!

From the photographers, Mallory + Justin Photographers: I’m submitting a gorgeous Cleveland, Ohio warehouse wedding we photographed a few weeks ago that had some memorable details. The details were elegant and personal featuring some owned and reclaimed items that made the warehouse sparkle. The bride, Raquel brought elements from her own home to create a comfortable space. The warehouse was adorned with vintage furniture, wine barrels, a giant handwritten chalk board seating chart and even a real street postbox to collect cards. Most of the table details were handmade by the bride. Raquel + Steve met in college, got engaged while living in Manhattan and had their wedding in downtown Cleveland, they’re a gorgeous couple with an elegant, timeless style… with a little bit of flair and edge.

Beautiful classic wedding. Congratulations!
I just love how each person/couple was assigned a table number and then there were personal place cards at each table. Signing the globe is such a great idea! Love this polished industrial wedding!
Beautiful wedding!
The navy color is always such classic and elegant color to accent with. I love the reception space: a mix of glam with factory style floors and windows.
Beautiful wedding!
I’m searching for my venue in Cleveland right now and came across this blog- it brought me to tears!! I love the classic navy and grey mixed with the rustic and industrial vibe. I immediately sent this to my wedding planners as inspiration. You did a great job! Congratulations
