Victoria KyriaKides Fall/Winter 2016 Bridal Collection
Victoria KyriaKides describes her bridal collection for Fall/Winter 2016 as one that heightens a woman’s sensuality, and we couldn’t agree more. Every single gown on display is simultaneously fashion-forward with an understated sexiness, and KyriaKide’s couture craftsmanship shines through no matter where you look.
About the collection: Victoria creates a fall collection that heightens a woman’s sensuality with subtly diaphanous, weightless and ultra-feminine dresses. Anchored in an ivory, blush and silver-grey palette, each dress is remarkably detailed, faithful to Victoria’s true Couture craftsmanship. Embroidered, hand-created intricate french laces blend beautifully with soft silk tulles and delicate embellishments. Ivory hand drawn and cut 3D Couture flowers gracefully cascade down the skirt and cathedral length train of a show-stopping gown. Appropriate V-necks and low cut backs heighten femininity. Intricately embellished lace is strategically placed to play with the body’s geometry and make the body appear longer. Victoria reformulates traditional elements of formality this fall: arm coverage becomes a statement with diaphanous silk tulle billowy sleeves with a single horizontal slit and Victorian cuffs. Stunning trains range from polished embroidered french lace sweeps to a dramatic silk tulle watteau to an exquisite ivory lace double scalloped cathedral head-turner. It is Victoria’s belief the train of a wedding dress ought to be as meticulously designed as the dress front for it is the backside that is the showpiece of the ceremony. Ballgowns abound in an airy, ultra soft interpretation of the silhouette. A blush swiss dot French tulle flowy ball skirt is juxtaposed with a sweetheart top for a fashion-forward and playfully sexy look. An ivory tulle bolero with artfully placed small 3D Couture flowers is draped over the pretty super skinny spaghetti straps. Every dress this fall is featherweight using the lightest, rarest materials available. True to Couture, Victoria deliberates over every small detail from the inside out and engineers it by hand on mannequin at her master Atelier in Europe. Her signature invisible structured bodice is created by the most flexible materials typically reserved for prima ballerinas to provides maximum movement and comfort. Wispy, delicate ostrich feathers are embroidered on small Couture bows add dimension to a divine sheer embroidered lace 3/4 sleeve top over a soft wrap lacy skirt. A dress with regal character that will delight even the bride with the most discerning taste. Victoria combines unexpected elements most gracefully and harmoniously. Twinkling sequins sparkle just so underneath layers of sumptuous fabrics such as a silver-grey exquisitely soft gossamer lace voluminous trumpet skirt. For the closing look, an ultra-feminine exaggerated ivory silk chiffon bow acts as a fresh accessory belt on a hand-embroidered lace sheath dress.
