Tribeca Rooftop Wedding
A wedding in New York City at Tribeca Rooftop – how does it get much better than that, you ask? Add on the creative talents of Hatch Creative Studio and Citron Event Planning and watch as they work their magic to create a dramatic, romantic, and sophisticated day to remember. Thank you to Kaysha Weiner for sharing your lovely images with us!
From the bride, Elizabeth: Ever since the wedding ended, Sean and I have reminisced, “I wish every day could be that day.” We have lamented the absence of our wedding planner Shira Citron in our daily lives and delighted in the beautiful photography of Kaysha Weiner Photographer. Every detail, from our save-the-dates and invitations designed by my friend Samantha Allen to the early-September weather, was perfect.
Our wedding was held at Tribeca Rooftop in New York City. Guests entered from cobblestoned Desbrosses Street and rode the elevator to the twelfth floor, where they were greeted by champagne, a customized Lite-Brite display, and a beautiful view of the New York skyline. The traditional Jewish ceremony was held underneath the venue’s glass roof, flooding the room with late-summer sunlight. Our chuppah (wedding canopy) was made of Panamanian molas owned by Sean’s late mother, Barbara. Hatch Creative stitched together the chuppah and designed the rest of our wedding to reflect the warm, bright colors of the molas.
To set the mood for the evening we used music — the bridal party entered to the Ronettes’ “Be My Baby” and danced up the aisle to “You Make My Dreams Come True” by Hall & Oates after the ceremony. As we exited, we turned to see everyone dancing behind us. Sean and I joined everyone on the roof for cocktail hour after a brief, peaceful moment alone. The dusk light painted the city and river, making the photo ops almost as plentiful as the delicious food and drink. From my grandparents’ blessing over the challah before dinner to the final song our wedding was everything we could have hoped for.

From the photographer, Kaysha Weiner: Inspiration for most of the design came from the hexagon shapes on Elizabeth’s wedding gown, they were represented on the wedding invitation, string art escort card display, table numbers, programs and wedding cake. Music was also a large part of their day, Elizabeth used to host “sock hops” in her room at college and her love for that music led her to chose “Be My Baby” for her procession.
