Stylish Brooklyn Wedding at MyMoon
Brooklyn certainly has no shortage of incredible wedding venues, but one of our favorites has to be MyMoon in Williamsburg. The site proved itself the perfect location for Jillian and Aiden’s wedding. Lev Kuperman and Sprout Home also outdid themselves behind the camera and with floral design, respectively, for a romantic industrial wedding that’s sure to inspire.
From the bride, Jillian: We wanted a effortlessly pretty wedding. We wanted everything to look pretty, and a little rough around the edges. Some adjectives to describe our wedding would be classic, romantic, rustic, enchanting, elegant, and charming. Our theme was to just make the day pretty and romantic, and add a bit of Brooklyn to it. We didn’t have a color theme, but I would say we used a lot of different shades of pink with pops of yellow, and a lot of green. Our DIY project were our thank you favors which were bottles of infused peach bourbon. We had infused bourbon for 3 months before bottling them up for our guests.
Bouquet recipe: The flowers used were a mix of Amnesia Roses, Turtle Roses, Chamomile Flowers, Spray Roses, Garden Roses, Peonies, Dahlias, Ranunculus and Anemones, with some Annes Lace and Baby’s Breath. I was going for a wildflower look, so there were a bunch of different flowers in there.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? I would say enjoy planning and make sure both couples play a part in making the decision. My Husband and I did this and the wedding perfectly represented us. You could see that the detail in the flowers, venue, wardrobe was all very personal and represented us both individually and as a couple. Planning is so much fun, and on the wedding day when I walked into the reception and saw that my florist really understood what I wanted, and how I wanted all the bud vases set up. I was so happy! But, there were things that don’t go exactly as planned on your wedding day, but you have to just move on and thing will work itself out. We forgot out table signs, and I didn’t realize until I arrived. I didn’t panic and the venue just happened to have some extras laying around. It was great.

Wedding Music:
Processional: “You’re So Cool,” Hans Zimmer (True Romance Soundtrack)
First Dance: “Just Like Heaven,” The Cure
We played a mix of 80ss and Classic Rock. Everyone was Dancing! Who hates Classic rock and Classic 80s tunes? We all know the words, which makes it more fun to dance to! Our Processional song was “You’re so cool” from the movie true romance. My husband has the True Romance Tattoo on him with our names inside (Like Clarance and Alabama) It’s his favorite movie, so I thought it was appropriate.
