Flanagan Farm Wedding

I’ve always had a soft spot for Maine, and I think this wedding will help explain why. Luckily for Carolyn and Mike, the weather behaved itself and opened up the skies for an exceptionally beautiful day put together by A Family Affair of Maine with flowers from Snell Family Farm. Emily Delamater‘s stunning work shines through as always!

From the bride, Carolyn: We live in Maine and wanted to show our beautiful state to all our guests. We loved the open fields and beautiful barn at Flanagan Farm. Hosting a wedding in Maine in May is a little risky, but after a dark and rainy morning, the skies cleared and the sun shone brightly the rest of the afternoon! Most importantly, we wanted our wedding to be an evening of celebration and fun for all our loved ones.

Bouquet recipe: Roses, tulips, anemones, ranunculus, and other romantic flowers. Peach was the emphasis with touches of gold, blush, pink, and lots of creamy white. Lush greenery and lots of texture.

Our wedding was happy, loving, and joyous. In truth, we were a little overwhelmed by themes and colors, but had much help from the incredible Paula Cano at A Family Affair along the way. She helped us create a comfortable, graceful and elegant day.

Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Enjoy all the little moments. We found the process a little overwhelming at the beginning, but made our way through, step by step. The big day is like nothing you can even imagine. It is so wonderful! Just remember to take the time to take it all in – it goes by way too fast!
