Dip Dyed Colorado Wedding
Burgundy is pretty much the staple color for this winter, and never has it shined so brightly as in Mary Kate and Jake’s wedding. You can spot it in the paper goods, the bride’s bouquet, the reception tables, and even the ceremony decor! Sara Lynn Photographic and Rachel Austin Events both did beautiful work here, along with the many other talented vendors.
From the photographer, Sara Lynn Photographic: Mary Kate and Jake were married at Blanc in downtown Denver. They planned a modern, dip-dyed wedding with hints of bordeaux, blush and gold. Mary Kate was a very hands-on bride and designed her own floral centerpieces, bouquet and paper goods, including the stunning invitation suite. Seriously, this girl is talented. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful. Their friend married them and planned a Native American ceremony. Jake made the arbor that they were married under and his parents sang a heartfelt song to them – it was such a sweet moment. They also incorporated Josie and Abby, Jake’s identical twin daughters that Mary Kate has come to call her own.
The reception was kicked off with delicious appetizers and drinks. Mary Kate and Jake had some alone time as we went to Union Station for portraits. The reception decor was beautiful – dip dyed runners, gorgeous florals, loads of cake and delicious foods. At the end of the night, the party was moved outside for dancing under the market lights, a coffee bar and your choice of cake. To end the celebration, Mary Kate and Jake exited the venue with their friends and family cheering and waving sparklers.
So interesting, but I like it! It was casual yet elegant. . Thanks for sharing!
