Backyard Indiana Wedding
We’ve seen many a bridal hairstyle here at Ruffled over the years (and have pinned many faves!), and this high bun + braided halo + floral crown is quickly rising to the top of our list of most inspiring styles. Kristin La Voie Photography worked her photographic magic behind the scenes for us, so let’s take a look!
From the photographer, Kristin: Do you know that feeling you get when you just know you are in the presence of pure happiness and love? There are no two sweeter, more down-to-earth people than right here. I couldn’t stop smiling. In fact, my cheeks still hurt from all the smiling while editing. No one else has ever had quite that effect on me while editing either. Even tears of happiness ran down my puffy cheeks.
You see for Heather & Mike, the house where Mike grew up was the perfect location for them to tie the knot surrounded by their closest family and friends in the backyard. They walked hand in hand together down a row of trees, to no music at all. They had their loved ones standing around them, encircling them in more love than one could imagine. They did not need a long drawn out ceremony, because all they wanted was to profess their forever to each other. They cried together. They laughed together. They were just themselves. And it was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. All of the details, the colors, the ambiance; swoon. And a good backyard wedding to me… well, it’s the most beautiful type of wedding there is.
