A Tuscan Dream Wedding Come True
If you’ve ever dreamed of a destination wedding in Tuscany, buckle in, because this one is going to knock your socks off. Julia and Florian made their way from Germany to Italy to exchange vows at a beautiful villa, with the help of Laura Bravi Events on planning and design duty and Stiatti Fiori taking care of all the floral design. There to capture it all was Nastja Kovacec, so let’s have her images take it away!
From the wedding planner, Laura Bravi Events: Julia and Flo approached me with their fantastic vision for a fun laid-back, but extremely stylish wedding almost a year before their event. They are from Munich, Germany, and would be coming to Italy with a small group of about 60 people, close family and friends, to celebrate their special day together. They knew what they wanted: a nice and unique villa that felt homey, a boho feel to the day spread here and there with small touches, thoughtful and impactful decor, industrial elements placed side by side with more romantic influences and an overall wild and cool look. In the end they chose a beautiful Villa on the border of the Chianti region, surrounded by woods, olive groves, with a fantastic amphitheater on its grounds where they had their ceremony. They used the villa as a base point for a week of celebrations, and three days spent with their guests. In fact they had an aperitivo with a buffet in a stylish location in the town of Montevarchi, built out of an old mill, had the wedding at the Villa the next day and ended the celebration with a recovery lunch poolside on the day after the wedding, to say goodbye to their loved ones in a relaxed but still fun atmosphere.
Julia and Flo got ready with their girls and boys in two separate sides of the Villa, in an emotional but still quite chill atmosphere. It all became real and so romantic when Julia walked down the path to the amphitheater with her dad, to the notes of Somewhere Over the Rainbow. The ceremony was held by a long time family friend and although I don’t speak German and I couldn’t understand most of it I saw many teary eyes and some true love between my sweet bride and groom! After the ceremony and the classic olive leave tossing, the party moved to the pool side of the house where drinks and canapes were served. Dinner followed, at those beautiful long tables, decorated simply with wild greenery and gold candleholders. We had mixed matched chairs, some from the Villa some from the caterer and I rented the two industrial chairs of honor for the bride and groom. What made the atmosphere really special were the strings of vintage lights hung over the tables: they were simply breathtaking! After a good Tuscan style meal and speeches, the dance party began and went on until morning!
It was a really special day, it felt like a dream but was instead so real. Flo and Julia were so happy, so stylish in their fantastic attire choices, so connected to their loved ones, that everybody felt at home and gave life to a fantastic celebration that I am so proud to have planned! I worked hard, in partnership with Francesco at La Selva Giardino di Belvedere, to make the most of their day and to organize everything for Julia, Florian and their guests. It all came together so beautifully and I am so glad that Nastja Kovacec was there to capture it all so well with her pictures, because I don’t know if I would ever be able to describe it well enough with words!
rustic and classic, such fabulous elements fro the perfect wedding. Congratulations!
The bride’s dress is so beautiful! The close up on the dress, bouquet and shoes is my favourite!
Where did the bride buy her shoes from? Those would be perfect for my outdoor wedding in June!!!
