Sthelenesouthcarolina Wedding

When this couple dreamed up their perfect wedding day, they weren’t just planning a celebration—they were curating a vibe. Think light, breezy, and soaked in summer magic. Enter Agapae Oaks on St. Helena Island, SC: a gorgeous venue with light blue skies, sunny yellow blooms, and a setting that feels like it was plucked straight out of a romance novel.

From repurposed rehearsal dinner florals (DIY with a side of sustainability, anyone?) to a first dance serenaded by Randy Travis, every detail was as intentional as it was beautiful. Whether it was twirling in wildflowers with bridesmaids or packing the dance floor with a killer funk band, this day was pure joy wrapped in a Carolina summer bow. DIY Touches with a Personal Touch

One of the couple’s favorite DIY projects was repurposing the beautiful flowers from their rehearsal dinner for their wedding day. This not only added a personal touch to the decor but also demonstrated their creativity and commitment to sustainability.

Intimate Ceremony and Grand Celebration

The couple chose to exchange vows in an intimate church ceremony in Beaufort, SC, surrounded by 80 of their closest family and friends. The heartfelt ceremony set a warm and loving tone for the day. Following the ceremony, they joined over 200 guests for a lively reception at Agapae Oaks, where the real party began.

Inspiration Behind the Day

Drawing inspiration from their love for summer, the wedding day was designed to feel light and breezy, with a color palette of soft blues and sunny yellows. These colors not only reflected the season but also created a joyful and uplifting ambiance. The couple’s love for film photography also added the perfect touch to their day.

Favorite Memories

Among the many beautiful moments, the bride’s favorite memory was marrying the love of her life in such a beautiful setting, surrounded by their loved ones. Additionally, she cherished dancing in the yellow wildflowers with her bridesmaids and best friends, creating an enchanting and unforgettable scene.

Musical Highlights

Music played a significant role in their celebration. The newlyweds shared their first dance to Randy Travis’s “Forever and Ever, Amen,” a song that perfectly captured their enduring love. To keep the energy high, they had a fantastic funk band perform at the reception, ensuring that the dance floor was packed all night long.

This wedding at Agapae Oaks was a true reflection of the couple’s personalities and their love for each other. From the intimate ceremony to the lively reception, every detail was thoughtfully planned and beautifully executed, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
