Enchanting Pink and Emerald Wedding in an Umbrian Castle
Okay first of all, who gave this pink and emerald wedding (in an Italian castle no less) the right to be so fabulous? Don’t get us wrong, we have fallen madly in love with Giulia and Andrea’s enchanted garden day. From the mini canvas place cards to the bride’s dreamy self-designed wedding gown, this couple’s style is strong. Matteo Crescentini captures all the gusto of the day, and we are totally enamored by the meaningful details throughout. This Italian celebration started and (quite literally) ended with a bang, and we can’t wait to see your jaws drop in the next few seconds!
From the photographer, Matteo Crescentini Photographer: Andrea and Giulia met for the first time on May 15, 2014. Even though their friends had actually been working for us for some months already and exactly that day, under different circumstances they finally met. Andrea always says that from the very first moment something clicked, while Giulia says that she had never met somebody who made her laugh so much!
So they started dating like all people that to know each other: an exhibition, a walk in the city center, a nice restaurant, both trying to impress the other. Andrea swore to love ice-cream and cookies for dinner and Giulia swore to love running with every fiber of her body. So they went running together and then ate a package of cookies (each!) on the couch.
It went on this way for one or two years, until Andrea gradually started to eat properly again and Giulia threw away anything that even vaguely looked like a tracksuit! Therefore they found other passions in common. They like walking in autumn in Rome, eating porcini mushrooms and drinking red wine, traveling (above all in the USA) and laughing.
From the bride, Giulia: I love Andrea for his nature, I find my peace only when we are together, because it seems to me that with him nothing can go wrong, Andrea loves my congeniality… Often people who meet me after talking with him say: “Hey but you’re also very pretty! All Andrea says is that you are so fun!!”
July 16, 2016, Andrea decided that we absolutely had to go to the Circeo for the weekend and to the lighthouse – our romantic place. The same night Andrea proposed to me, on a tanning bed in the sunset seaside, among deep feelings and tears of both, but also in front of an amused audience watching us from the restaurant.
I think that our lives had changed… A whirlwind of different feelings started, we had to organize our wedding and later our life together.
We chose Umbria as our wedding location. We have always been connected to the country atmosphere because I had grown up in my grandmother’s house in Umbria and my mother married in Assisi. We imagined (especially me) an enchanted garden.
June 3… a perfect occasion for a weekend all to ourselves: for our friends, not much actually, but the right ones! Naturally our families and lots of wonderful people that we have met during the year and during our relationship together. Our wedding was fantastic! We’re even more sure that our life together will be so too…
