Claire Pettibone for Bella Belle Shoes Inspired By Dutch Still Life
We’ve got you, girl. We’ve decided that cascading heels are our kryptonite because we are drooling over every delicate detail. From the soft blush touches to the feminine white bows we suddenly need every pair from Claire Pettibone for Bella Belle. Captured in a garden of english roses and lilies by Peony & Plum, Tanja Kibogo captured each and every dainty bridal look that has left us breathless.
From the photographer, Tanja Kibogo: Inspired by the Dutch Masters, Tanja Kibogo photographed a gallery of modern Still Life’s incorporating Claire Pettibone’s new collection of shoes for Bella Belle as the main point of focus. Peony & Plum was the floral artist behind the lush, colorful florals climbing up the furniture and spilling out of drawers. Our bride becomes part of the scene in the soft blush Flora heels and Lucinda gown. Meanwhile, the delicate shoes seem to grow from nature as if spring has taken over!
What would a butterfly be attracted to? A beautiful garden of course! Fresh branches of tangerines and the intoxicating scent of lilies and English roses were arranged in a setting for the Mariposa shoe. Colorful butterflies adorn this pretty pair, and a sweet set of lingerie blooms with rose colored flowers. The Anais gown covered in hand beaded fluttering organza blossoms conveys the innocent beauty of this scene.
The makeup and hair were soft and ethereal in keeping with the portrait inspiration. Glowing skin looks like it was painted by a master, and it actually was, by our Emmy nominated makeup artist Kristene Bernard! She added different pops of color on the lip for each set to give our bride a contemporary touch.
The classic elements of an old-world floral masterpiece with fruits and an antique album are a fitting accompaniment for the Giselle shoe and the new Victorianna wedding dress from Claire’s Timeless collection. French lace and silk ribbon bows accent the classic pump with a modern touch. Truly an homage to the Dutch Still Life.
At the end of the day, we were inspired to create a floral mandala. Arranging the blossoms and petals in an intricate pattern, as a modern deconstruction of the formal arrangements we had created earlier. The Freya shoe has just a touch of blue, and paired beautifully with the pale blue silk lining the Eloise gown. Love this hair vine from Twigs & Honey, and combining the maiden’s fern for a fresh take on a floral crown. Blending the ancient with the new, crossing cultures and finding inspiration in nature and art, it was truly a creative collaboration with our amazing team of creative women!
How gorgeous are these dainty bridal looks? Everything Claire Pettibone touches is gold just like these lace gowns that make you feel as if you’re floating on cloud 9!
