Dreamy Floral California Wedding
Seriously, could this wedding be any prettier than it already is? Photographed by Muir Adams Photography, Tracey and David’s nuptials are just dripping in luxe and elegance. And who could miss those amazing floral creations by Flora Organica Designs? They spanned the entire wedding and certainly made a strong statement of their own, especially that gorgeous floral arch covered in hydrangeas at their ceremony! This wedding is certainly one to see and go crazy over.
From the bride, Tracey: My husband David and I met a few years ago (end of 2012). We actually went to the same high school but because he was four years older than me, we never really ran into each other. I met him one night when I was out with some girlfriends. I couldn’t help myself but to approach him, which is not something I normally do. We hit it off immediately and both instantly felt the connection. The rest is beautiful history! After dating for only a few months David planned an incredible surprise trip that summer to Europe. We traveled to Prague, Rome, and Paris. Even though his plan was to propose in Paris, he couldn’t wait and popped the question in Rome!
We chose the Benbow Historic Inn for our wedding because of its quaint beauty and historic feel. The atmosphere is also very romantic. We wanted the look and feel of our wedding to be regal chic and romantic, and the atmosphere there was a perfect fit for our vision. My favorite memory from our wedding was walking down the aisle to my soon to be husband and seeing everything for the first time. It truly looked like a dream. The arch with the flowers, carpet of petals and all the other details were just as I imagined and more. As you can probably tell flowers were one of our main focuses. We chose tall centerpieces, candles, garlands with flowers, sequins, gold accents, and an arch covered in flowers. It all gave the right sophisticated upscale look and feel we were going for. The string quartet was a lovely addition for the ceremony and the chandelier that was hung under the arch is now in our home which is pretty special to us.
It was important that the look of our wedding was the right interpretation of our style and vision. We wanted soft neutral colors and the right amount of sparkle, but most important was that the day be about our love. After planning everything out, it’s hard to know if everything is going to come together exactly as you imagined until you see end result on that day. It ended feeling like everything we imagined and more – it truly felt like a fairy tale! We are just so grateful that we chose the right people to help us create the wedding we both envisioned and dreamt of. Our floral designer, Faye, did the styling of our wedding as well as the gorgeous flowers, and helped us find the right vendors for our day. She knew exactly the look and feel we were going for and made it look effortless. Finding the right vendors is everything!
