Donnelly River Wedding
This wedding captured by Still Love describes woodland whimsy to a T. Surrounded by nature in Donnelly River, the sweet rustic touches and the most adorable guests make this wedding a really inspiring fete. You might notice one of these guests brought its +1 along for the ceremony!
We didn’t pick someone else’s wedding that we loved, or copy something out of a magazine. The styling was basically the contents of our house, put out in our favourite part of the world! Also, its surprising how much impact your wedding can have on the environment if you let it, so keeping that it mind, we kept it small, used recycled and second hand things and tried to make everything we could ourselves.
Favorite memory (from Ash): I can’t pick one, the whole day was too magical! I love how everything turned out so perfectly, despite things changing and going ‘wrong’. It was exactly what we wanted, and more. Walking down the hill with Dad by my side and looking out over at all the people I love most down in the gully, but Sol still being hidden by the giant Karri tree. That’s definitely a keeper.
Favorite memory (from Sol): Watching Return of the Jedi with my best man. Yoda’s wisdom definitely helped prepare me for the most important day of my life. That and the moment I saw my future wife walking towards me; all the stresses and difficulties of the preparation disappeared and nothing was sweeter than the knowledge that I would be sharing the rest of my life with her.

Take your time planning, there’s no rush to get married! Enjoy the process, but don’t forget what it is you’re actually working towards; the marriage of you and the one you will be with forever. And do whatever you can to sleep the night before the big day!

Wow. So pretty and unique. Love that the Kangaroo had a joey poppin’ out saying ‘hello’! Love the groom’s creative hair style, too!
Thanks for featuring this wedding. I LOVE Edward Sharp’s HOME, too! Blessings to the bride and groom for a life of love and happiness!

That’s a lot of kangaroos crashing a wedding! LOL And a joey too! I see it poking it’s head out!!! Did they have invites?? LOL Love it. I love the dark and moodiness!
And this is what I am always telling couples, and what I am always doing myself- bring things out of your homes, bring things that represent YOU, and if you can’t do that, at least bring things that you’ll want to bring back into your homes after the wedding and decorate with and make a part of your home afterwards! This is the start of your official journey together (even if you’ve been together a long time) and the relics from your wedding can be a daily reminder of all that. Hang up those doilies in your house, put them on your end tables, use the vases…
It’s all a part of your life!
It’s awesome. 🙂
Oh, this time I saw the emu’s too! LOL
I love that they incorporated items from their home! The blankets add such a great pop of color and the flowers are stunning.
omg..kangaroos at their wedding?!
The wedding is just so naturally beautiful! & the kangaroo as a guest- awesome!!!
OMG Kangaroos?!? Love it! What a brilliant and beautiful wedding that would have been so memorable for both couple and their wedding guests!
Nowhere can create a better decoration than nature..The title captured me at the first sight as River Wedding.. Romantic, rustic, vintage combination, lace doilies, little bottles, kangaroos,….. all just so sweet..I pinned this unique wedding to my “Vintage Wedding Ideas” board on Pinterest..
