Detroit Boat House Wedding Inspiration with Overflowing Florals
I was so excited when this one landed in our inboxes. One is that Detroit is very close to my heart, since my own wedding took place there. And two, excited to see how Belle Isle has transformed over the years and this styled shoot is proof! Rich in texture and bright to the eye, this 116-year Detroit boathouse turned wedding venue with panoramic views plays host to the perfect balance of eloquent and demure. Dive into a world of luxe goodness with us, and prepare to have your senses heightened to the max!
Perfection called. Sarah Casile Photography answered. Her poppy images have us grinning from ear to ear!
Planned and designed by Heather Benge Events for Styled Shoots Across America, this just may be the most dynamic color play we’ve seen in a while. I mean how cool is that color block fresh flower centerpiece in the reception?
From the photographer, Sarah Casile Photography: This styled shoot is located at the Belle Isle Boat House. A historic location that’s been ignored for quite some time, left alone to crumble quietly. Six months ago a team decided to start putting it back together to help bring it back to life for the island and the wedding industry in Detroit. It was the perfect spot to incorporate glamour and destruction all in one location. With paint chipping walls and falling down wallpaper the venue exudes a glowing history that can create stunning images. We incorporated Spring colors with our palette being light pink, bright pink, peach, and dusty blue. The floral is voluptuous and full of blooms, very heavy on color and luxury. The table settings pulled out the simple luxury of our styled shoot with gold-rimmed plates and bold blue glasses. Dainty floral stationery kept our aesthetic feminine and bright. This styled shoot brought together the old & the new, the bold & the gentle, and the broken & luxurious all in one incredible day.
Here’s what I sujoost. I sujoost that this cake from The Dulce Experience would even make Franck Eggelhoffer go wild.
Intricate embroidery detail in this gown from Modehaus Bridal! And PSA: she is slaying the bridal hairstyle game with this look from Lena Shkreli & Co.
Intrigue Designs wows us (to say the least) with this crescent cascade bouquet of sweet pea, phals and roses in shades of pink, peach and coral. We’ll never get enough!
