The Coolest Ceremony Aisle Meets 50 Shades of Pink
We promise you’ve never seen a modern ceremony aisle like this! Ashleigh and Matthew traipsed towards I Do through a geometric tunnel that really hit the light + airy nail on the head. Roses and ranunculus filled the bouquets in varying shades of pink – the perfect punch against the chic white dresses worn by the bride and her ‘maids. And don’t get us started on the industrial reception space brought to life by marbled details and a canopy of botanics. If one thing’s for sure, these images from Figtree Wedding Photography have us reeling.
From the stylist, Amey of The Perfect Party Co.: I was honoured to be asked by Ashleigh & Matt to style their wedding as Ashleigh herself is an ex-event stylist. I was even more delighted when Ashleigh handed me a small collection of images and basically said ‘here’s some inspiration, I trust you, run with it’. I planned so many surprise elements for them from the bridal table backdrop to the gold cutlery and confetti cannon.
They met one night whilst Ashleigh was out with friends. Ashleigh met a guy named Ben who was out with a bunch of his mates. He told Ashleigh to pick any guy in the bar and he would set her up. She picked Matt, and in less than 3 weeks they were moving in together! Five and half years later they chose to spend the rest of their lives together, of course shared with their sausage dogs, Willow & Pablo.
With regards to the design, the show grounds was such a beautiful blank canvas. Our biggest issue was dividing the space as it’s quite large so we chose to utilise the ceiling structure to hand dividing panels and draping to enclose the space and provide intimacy. Asheligh loves Pink and although its certainly not Matt’s favourite colour, he wanted her to have whatever she wished, so pink on pink it was! One element they were so excited about was the confetti cannon, which initially was looking like it may not have been able to happen due to venue restraints so it was my surprise to them when it went off after their first dance.
