This Colorado Wedding is a Woodland Wonderland
What happens at a ski resort in spring? It’s transformed into a woodland wonderland for a Colorado wedding of course! Hey, if you got it, flaunt it! Natalie and Brian embraced all the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains in their celebration, and from the illustrated invites to the spruce tree unity ceremony to the moss-covered bar, it was overflowing with botanic goodness. You’ll see what we mean soon enough!
Ruffled wedding pro, Colorado event planner, and curators of such beautiful weddings as seen here and here Calluna Events, has swept us off our feet with the details of the day. You’re sure to be mesmerized by the angel vine orb chandeliers, canvas-covered wooden chairs and place setting accents soon enough!
Destination wedding photographers, Chowen Photography, captured a whole lotta pretty and even more heart.
Thanks to Eclectic Hive, we can admire this decor inspo for days!
From the planner, Spice of Calluna Events: The plan was simple – A weeklong mountain retreat with family and friends in beautiful Vail, Colorado. Hiking, biking, river rafting, rock climbing, decadent meals, great music, and lots of spa time! All the guests were invited to Beaver Creek Resort for a romantic wedding high on a mountain peak followed by the famous Beano’s Cabin 5-course gourmet dinner. We topped it all off with cake, champagne, and a KILLER dance party under the stars!
The vision was natural romance with vintage lace (that dress!), patina candlesticks, antique goblets, aged parchment paper, poetry and sheet music, Jane Austen, a warm crackling fire and locally sourced flavors paired with favorite wines. There was natural beauty throughout the woodland wonderland, as soft pastel blooms, dripping vines and hanging moss decorated the scene. You’ll spot touches of whimsy throughout the cabin and a plush lounge for cocktail hour that’s cozy as can be.
Lale Floral Designs does it again with a romantic living bar, lush greenery garlands and glass domes filled with pale blooms.
We’ll let you in on a little secret. Invites are one of our favorite pieces of any wedding story! Because they do just that… tell a story. And this illustrated invitation suite from Cheree Berry Paper with matching stamps and torn-edge detail makes our hearts sing!
Some of the highlights of the day? The secluded First Look in an Aspen grove. The AMAZING second dress to wow guests during a choreographed first dance. And the groom rocking with the band on his saxophone!
Gorgeous woodland wedding cake from Katy Pierson Cake with gold flecks and mossy adornments. This was just the cherry on top for a picture perfect day!
See the film from Forget Me Not Media below. And warning… it’s a tear-jerker.
